WAITING GAME: District 43 Election Recount | News
Constituents of Iowa House District 43, still don’t know who their Representative will be next session. Election officials say it could be next month before a winner is declared.
The unofficial results have incumbent Republican Chris Hagenow ahead of Democrat Susan Judkins by just 22 votes.
Judkins requested a recount, which must be complete by December 3rd.
District 43 includes portions of Clive, Windsor Heights, and West Des Moines; both candidates focused their campaigns on education and economic development.
